Top Seven Reasons To Quit Smoking

The younger generations, think of smoking as part of being cool. While some believe that smoking adds appeal to a man's rogue effect, women who smoke are regarded as sophisticated. Not all can have the same opinion to these, yet one thing is quite agreeable, that smoking can be very bad for the body's physical features. Smoking can robe a person's good looks and youth. Smoking may cause the following:

Dry and fragile skin: Smoking reduces the water content of the skin’s outer layer.

Wrinkles around the nose and mouth: Chemicals is cigarette such as nicotine, carbon monoxide, tar and lead reduce blood flow to the skin, reducing circulating of oxygen and break down the skin’s collagen and elastin.

Risk of Psoriasis: Psoriasis is a disease that causes red scaly patches to appear on the skin. It can be usually seen in the skin of the elbows and knees, but can also affect any area including the scalp and genitals. Studies reveal that the risk of psoriasis was 37% higher among past smokers and 78% higher among current smokers.

Skin cancer: Smokers are more than three times more likely to develop squamous cell carcinoma of the skin than non-smokers. Smoking induces skin cancer by holding back the immune system. And patients with suppressed immune systems are more susceptible to squamous cell carcinoma in many locations, including the skin.

Hair loss: Hair is able to grow because of hair follicles. The dermal papilla, which are near the bottom of hair follicles, are responsible for creating new cells. The new cells shove themselves upward, moving the old cells upward. When the cells reach the middle of the hair follicle, they die out and become hard. They become the central core of the hair follicle and afterward, become the new hair shaft. Smoking prevents dermal papilla from growing. This hinders the hair from growing.

Yellow teeth: Nicotine and tar leaves a sticky residue on the teeth. Even with one inhalation of cigarette smoke, stains are left behind. There are brands of cigarettes that contain more nicotine and tar than the others. The higher the ratio of nicotine and tar, the more the teeth will be stained by the cigarette.

Yellow nails: Tar and nicotine are also the components of cigarette that cause yellow fingernails. These two stain the fingernails and the skin surrounding the fingers that hold the cigarette.

There is nothing cool about smoking. It can definitely rob one's youth and beauty.

How To Live Life

How To Live Life
Everyone Gets the Same 24 Hours
Life — it's what we do between the time we get here and when we go. We only get one, and despite what other folks might suppose, it's ours to determine what to do with it.

We don't measure life in hours and minutes. We measure life in
memories and moments.

The Top 10 Ways to Start Living Your Life Life either happens to us, or we take hold of life and live it.

1. Give yourself permission to claim your life. That's right — permission. You're the only one who can decide you are in charge of
your life. Even though it feels like you're not supposed to do so,
turn off the internal editors, the old tape recordings, the "shoulds,
have tos, and musts", and the rules that didn't come from you.

2. Define what living means to you. It's not
as hard as it sounds.
Just picture yourself at the end of your life looking back. What words
would you want to describe how you lived your life and who you are as
a person?

3. Stop living in the future. Every time you think "someday" or "when
I have time I will," stop. Ask yourself, "Why not now?" Think about
this sentence, "I always wanted to, but never did." Start doing the
things you always planned to do. Choose your life every morning. Plan
one thing you will do that day to feel alive.

4. Surround yourself with people who enjoy living. They've obviously
discovered how to have a life and live it. Why not hang with the pros?

5. Lay down your pain and your anger. Carrying them around makes
living harder and less fun. It doesn't bring anything, and it steals
a
lot.

6. Let the losers win. Don't argue about things that you don't care
about. Unless there's some real threat, let the folks who have
something to prove, prove what they need to. Why waste your living
time trying to fix what's wrong with them?

7. Create energy. Jump to forgiveness and love, then figure things
out. Most conclusions we jump to are not only wrong, they're negative.
Negative conclusions lead us to prepare a defense. Being on the
defensive isn't living. It's hiding from life.

8. Learn the physical symptoms of when your head and heart become
disconnected. We know when we're having a knee jerk reaction, when
we're feeling sorry for ourselves, and when we're being blind to
people's feelings. We can remember how it felt physically while we
were behaving badly. Get to
know those symptoms, and you can stop the
behavior. Living life will feel a whole lot safer because you won't be
in danger of shooting yourself in the foot.

9. Take small risks that push your boundaries in every way. The joy of
life is packed in learning that matches our skill set. When we stretch
just a bit intellectually, physically, emotionally, we grow. Living is
growing. Even your cells know that.

10. Value and protect the people and the places you care about. A job
isn't a life. It's just a part of one. Let the people you care about
come first, and let everyone know that you do. Re-read numbers 1 and 2.

We come into life with whatever we've got. It's ours to do with. It
took me a while to figure that out — that my life isn't just what
happens to me, that I could take hold of
it.

I need some words

*-:¦:-°-:¦:-* *-:¦:-°-:¦:-* *-:¦:-°-:¦:-*
Please teach me, Lord ...
I want to know exactly how to pray.

I need some words
Which ones are right?
Please tell me what to say.

I've bowed my head
I have knelt down, but ...should I be upright?

I've closed my eyes,
I've raised my hands, or ...should I fold them tight?

Do I stand up?
Should I sit down?
Dear Lord ... what do you like?

Are lights turned on
Or are they off? maybe ...candle light?
Wear my glasses?
Take them off?
Be at my desk or table?
Should I whisper?
Speak out loud?

Do I quote the Holy Book?
What do you think about the time?
Do You prefer the dawn?

*-:¦:-°-:¦:-* *-:¦:-°-:¦:-* *-:¦:-°-:¦:-*

Should I pray fast,
Or keep it slow?
Better short ... or long?

I'm new at this
What are the rules?
I want to do it right.

How do I know
You'll even hear
That I am in Your sight?

And while I sat there quietly
Waiting for some sign,
I heard a gentle voice say,

"Oh, dearest child of mine ...
Do you think I really care
About the time of day,
Or whether you are standing up,
Or kneeling when you pray?"

"I don't care about your posture,
Or about the place you choose;
Just open up your soul to me,
I have no other rules."

"Tell me what is in your heart,
And tell me what you seek;
Tell me of your sorrows,
And of those things that made you weak."

"Speak to me in private
About what concerns you most;
I know about your good deeds ...
You have no need to boast."

"My child, you don't need lessons,
Just talk to me each day;
Tell me anything you want, dear child,
Anyone can pray."

Dear God.... from the Dog

Dear God.... from the Dog

Dear God: Is it on purpose our names are the same, only reversed?

Dear God: Why do humans smell the flowers, but seldom, if ever, smell one another?

Dear God:
When we get to heaven, can we sit on your couch? Or is it still the same old story?

Dear God:
Why are there cars named after the jaguar, the cougar, the mustang, the colt, the stingray, and the rabbit, but not ONE named for a Dog? How often do you see a cougar riding around? We do love a nice ride! Would it be so hard to rename the 'Chrysler Eagle' the 'Chrysler Beagle'?

Dear God:
If a Dog barks his head off in the forest and no human hears him, is he still a bad Dog?

Dear God:
We Dogs can understand human verbal instructions, hand signals, whistles, horns,
clickers, beepers, scent ID's, electromagnetic energy fields, and frisbee flight paths.
What do humans understand?

Dear God: More meatballs, less spaghetti, please.

Dear God: Are there mailmen in Heaven? If there are, will I have to apologize?

Dear God:
Let me give you a list of just some of the things I must remember to be a good Dog:

1. I will not eat the cats' food before they eat it or after they throw it up.

2. I will not roll on dead seagulls, fish, crabs, etc., just because I like the way they smell.

3. The Litter Box is not a cookie jar.

4. The sofa is not a 'face towel'.

5. The garbage collector is not stealing our stuff.

6. I will not play tug-of-war with Dad's underwear when he's on the toilet.

7. Sticking my nose into someone's crotch is an unacceptable way of saying 'hello'.

8. I don't need to suddenly stand straight up when I'm under the coffee table

9. I must shake the rainwater out of my fur before entering the house - not after.

10. I will not come in from outside and immediately drag my butt across the carpet.

11. I will not sit in the middle of the living room and lick my crotch.

12. The cat is not a 'squeaky toy' so when I play with him and he makes that noise,
it's usually not a good thing.

P.S. Dear God: When I get to Heaven may I have my testicles back?

I Believe In Love At First Sight

A mother's love is instinctual, unconditional, and forever.

Mother is the bank where we deposit all our hurts and worries.

The strength of motherhood is greater than natural laws.

There is no substitute for mother.

A mother understands what a child does not say.

Mother is the name of God in the lips and hearts of children.

Mother's love is peace. It need not be acquired,
 it need not be deserved.

My mother's love for me was so great
I have worked hard to justify it.

But She is No More In This World &
Her Soul is Always With Me.....

"I LOVE HER UNTIL THE LAST BREATH I TAKE"

God is always with us

A teenage girl about 17 had gone to visit some friends one evening and
time passed quickly as each shared their various experiences of the
past year.

She ended up staying longer than planned, and had to walk home alone.
She wasn't afraid because it was a small town and she lived only a few
blocks away.

As she walked along under the tall elm trees, Diane asked God to keep
her safe from harm and danger.

When she reached the alley, which was a short cut to her house, she
decided to take it.

However, halfway down the alley she noticed a man standing at the end
as though he were waiting for her.

She became uneasy and began to pray, asking for God's protection.

Instantly a comforting feeling of quietness and security wrapped round
her, she felt as though someone was walking with her.

When she reached the end of the alley, she walked right past the man
and arrived home safely.

The following day, she read in the newspaper that a young girl had been
raped in the same alley just twenty minutes after she had been there.

Feeling overwhelmed by this tragedy and the fact that it could have
been her, she began to weep.

Thanking the Lord for her safety and to help this young woman, she
decided to go to the police station.

She felt she could recognize the man, so she told them her story.

The police asked her if she would be willing to look at a lineup to see
if she could identify him.

She agreed and immediately pointed out the man she had seen in the
alley the night before.

When the man was told he had been identified, he immediately broke down
and confessed.

The officer thanked Diane for her bravery and asked if there was
anything they could do for her.

She asked if they would ask the man one question.

Diane was curious as to why he had not attacked her.

When the policeman asked him, he answered, "Because she wasn't alone.
She had two tall men walking on either side of her."

Amazingly, whether you believe or not, you're never alone. Did you know
that 98% of teenagers will not stand up for God?

PS: God is always there in your heart and loves you no matter
what.....and if you stand up 4 him he will stand up for you.

Dream what u want to dream

where would u like to see yourself in coming future?

ofcourse u r enjoying ur life
becoz u don't have any pain now
u r simply relaxing
u r just doing time pass
u don't have any thoughts
u don't have any plans
u don't have any goals
so u r just enjoying.

But remember

"Take care when you choose what to say."
For once your words are spoken,
They cannot be recalled.

"Take care when you choose
What to do with your time."
Time passes quickly no matter what you do,
So your best option is to make the very most of it.

"Take care when setting the goals you will follow,
And choose those that are truly yours."
You're far more likely to attain those goals
That have real meaning and are in line
With your own special purpose..

"Planning is bringing the future into the present"
so that you can do something about it now.

Dream what u want to dream
go where u want to go
be what u want to be
"becoz V have only one life
and one chance."Thats it.

God Said No

I asked God to take away my pride.
God said, No.
It is not for me to take away, but for you to give it up.

I asked God to make my handicapped child whole.
God said, No.
His spirit is whole, his body is only temporary

I asked God to grant me patience.
God said, No.
Patience is a by product of tribulations; it isn't granted, it is learned.

I asked God to give me happiness.
God said, No.
I give you blessings; Happiness is up to you.

I asked God to spare me pain.
God said, No.
Suffering draws you apart from worldly cares and brings you closer to Me.

I asked God for all things that I might enjoy life.
God said, No.
I will give you life, so that you may enjoy all things.

I ask God to help me LOVE others, as much as He loves me.
God said...Ahhhh, finally you have the idea.

If you love God, share love!

THIS DAY IS YOURS DON'T THROW IT AWAY

To the world you might be one person,
but to one person you just might be the world .

You Are Still Blessed - Very Nice

* You may not have the house, car or job
that you want --- but you know you are still
blessed.

* You may not have someone to call you
sweetheart --- but you know you are still blessed,
worthy and whole.

* You may not like the way your body feels or looks
right now --- but you know you are still blessed and
beautiful.

* You may be achieving slow progress with your
goal --- but you still feel determined.

* You may complain at times ---- but you know you
are still blessed.

* You may struggle with issues of anger,
resentment, depression or worry --- but you know
you are too blessed to be stressed.

* You may feel stuck between "when and why" ---
and yet, you remain grateful, hopeful and
proactive.

* People may misunderstand you, drain you,
criticize you or ignore you --- and yet, your self-
esteem, courage and peace of mind
remain in tact.

* You may struggle with an addiction --- but each
day you are overcoming it with a strong "Yes, I
can!" attitude.

* You may find fault in yourself and others --- and
yet, you continue to teach your heart to heal and
live with wisdom, discernment and love.

* You may be tired of waiting for your
breakthrough --- but you won't give up.

Im Sorry - I Was Wrong

To  Often We  Don't  Realize
What  We Have Unitl  It Is Gone
To  Often We Wait  Too Late  To Say
"Im Sorry - I  Was  Wrong...

Sometime  It  Seem We Hurt The Ones
We Hold  Dearest  To Our Hearts
And We Allow Foolish Things
To  Tear Our Lives Apart...

For To Many Times We Let
Unimportant  Things Into Our Minds
And  Than It's Usually  Too Late
To See What Made Us Blind.

So  Be Sure  That  You Let People Know
How  Much They Mean To You
Take That Time To Say The  Words
Before Your Time Is Through.

Love Is Patient; Love Is Kind;
Love Is Not Envious Or Boastful
Or Arrogant Or Rude. It Does Not
Insist On Its Own Way; It Is Not
Irritable Or Resentful; It Does Not
Rejoice In Wrongdoing, But Rejoices
In The Truth. It Bears All Things,
Believes All Things, Hopes All things,
 Endures All Things.

May Our Heavenly Father Keep
You  And Your Near And Dear Ones
Under His  Holy Wings.

What have you learned ?

Just  the other day  someone asked, "since your birthday
What have you learned ?

My  response  without a though, "I've learned not,
to lie  to myself  any longer".

I  know the response was unexpected,
I  didn't expect  to make that response.
Now , Iam forced to understand  the meaning
of those words, and significance,
I  believe I was saying , It's okay to be with myself
I can now accept who the true me is really about and,
Rest assured  every thing will be alright with me.

I No longer feel obligated to say I'm strong ,
When Iam weak,
Whenever Iam lonely, it's okay to feel that way.
Iam  never alone.
I don't need to feel compelled to say "yes" to others,
It's alright to say "no" and take time for me.
I don't need to down play recognition and
accomplishments just  remain humble and receive.
Yes, encouraging others is great, but what about
Encouraging  myself...
It 's  necessary in taking  care of my own wellness
Hurt no longer have to be hidden, it's alright.
I can  acknowledge pain.
Yes, it's true .I don't always have to make others
My priority  when I'm just their option
If  I don't know every thing, that 's alright too.
It's not a sign of ignorance but a need for further,
understanding.
I  don't  have to run away from love
I can reach out and embrace it.
It's alright being happy, I don't need to make excuses,
I  Deserve it...
I  never have to live a lie, I can live with truth
I don't need to be a savior to others
I need Salvation.
