John Galliano
John Galliano's SS'11 collection was très boudoir, set in the twenties Paris art scene...
There was the daywear of trenchcoats in lace-edged leather and sheer organza; and then for evening, gorgeous white Poiret-esque gowns with silver beading, and Empire columns with constructed bustiers and a cascade of embroidered petals or feather-trimmed silk. With beautiful printed silks, a stunning pleated gown and an embroidered kimono that made me gasp, there was much to love in this collection:
Christian Dior
Joan Crawford - Me Tarzan you Jane?
Once again John Galliano delivers at Christian Dior, with both a jungle and nautical theme with beautiful embellishments and detailing. Look at that navy leather coat, and nautical pants! LOVE! It was one beautiful explosion of colour at Christian Dior's SS'11 collection:
Nina Ricci
Not as vibrant as Dior, but still, there were vivid colors like acid yellow, shocking pink, cherry, and purple at Peter Copping's Nina Ricci SS'11 collection; tailored pieces like the sweeping cotton trench that Copping paired with a chiffon dress were among the show's strongest looks; I also loved the delicate lace, paperbag waisted shorts & skirts, light-as-air silk chiffons and the delicious rasberry/watermelon shade, that looked good enough to eat:
